Rod and pipe manufacturers include: Dongfang Tantalum Industry, Xi’an Cornwell, Huzhou Xingbeck and so on. The production process is divided into semi-continuous casting ingots and iron mold casting ingots. Dongfang Tantalum Industry, Jiangxi Xingye Wuerba, Jiangxi Jinggong and other enterprises have realized the semi-continuous casting ingot-making process, which is more advanced than iron mold casting. Other enterprises are basically iron mold casting process. Of course, iron mold casting can also produce high-quality ingots, but it is not as good as semi-continuous casting in terms of quality stability. Hot forming is an important process to ensure the quality of beryllium copper alloy. The hot working of strips all adopts hot rolling and billeting process, but the control of processing rate is not stable, and the control of hot rolling time is also determined by the operator’s experience, so it will affect the cold working. the yield. For the hot processing of rods and pipes, only a few manufacturers such as Dongfang Tantalum and Huzhou Xingbei use hot extrusion, and the others are mainly hot forging and hot rolling. The hot forging process takes a long time and the temperature cannot be maintained, so the problem of internal cracking often occurs. In the cold working process, the beryllium copper alloy strip is rolled by a cold rolling mill, which is basically the same as the foreign processing method. The bar processing adopts the method of cold drawing, which is basically the same as the processing method abroad. However, the cold rolling method of the rolling mill is better than that of the Ling drawing process in terms of compactness and straightness of the finished product. In terms of heat treatment process, domestic manufacturers currently have many problems. From solid solution annealing, to intermediate cold working stress relief annealing, and aging heat treatment, there are problems that are not in place. The first is the uneven heating temperature of the furnace, and the temperature difference in the furnace is too large. The second is that the temperature control range is too large. Furthermore, the temperature and time control are unscientific, which is not conducive to the homogenization of internal tissues. It can be directly seen from the metallographic structure that the internal structure of the domestic beryllium copper alloy material is uneven, the grain shape is serious, the size difference is large, and the grain boundary is not clear. These deficiencies in the hot working process will be reflected in the mechanical properties of the finished product.
