C17500 Beryllium Cobalt Copper Features

Beryllium cobalt copper has high thermal conductivity; excellent corrosion resistance, polishing, abrasion resistance, anti-adhesion and machinability; high strength and high hardness; extremely good weldability. The extremely good thermal conductivity of beryllium cobalt copper is about 3~4 times better than that of die steel. This feature ensures fast and uniform cooling of plastic products, reduces product deformation, unclear shape details and similar defects, and in most cases can significantly shorten the production cycle of the product. Therefore, beryllium cobalt copper C17500 can be widely used in molds, mold cores, and inserts that require fast and uniform cooling, especially for high thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance and good polishability.
The mechanical properties of beryllium cobalt copper are higher than those of chromium copper and chromium zirconium copper, but the electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity are lower than those of chromium copper and chromium zirconium copper. These materials are used as welding and seam welding electrodes for high temperature welding. Stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, etc., which still maintain the characteristics of high strength, require high electrode pressure when welding such materials, and the strength of the electrode material is also required to be high.
